Ironbark moth?
-37.8998, 145.313
Field Notes
Description:
A small moth about 12mm long. Colour and pattern made me think of the Ironbark eucalyptus trees (Eucalyptus tricarpa) regularly planted in the adjacent parkland. This little guy would be almost impossible to see on those trees.
Habitat:
Attracted to light at the local school.
Notes:
Yet to search for an ID...
Here's the type of tree bark which I suspect it might be mimicking http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/10735046 and http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/10948119
