Field Notes

Description:

Medium sized bird with a short tail, triangular wings, and long, pointed bill.
In summer they are purplish-green iridescent with yellow beaks.
In winter they are brown and covered in white spots.

Habitat:

On shoreline in grass near the bay.

Notes:

This beautiful Starling is one of the many Starlings that are seen here near the bay.
