Description:
Small fungi approx. size up to 30mm each rounded section, delicate structure looking like fine wood shavings, brown, cream & golden ribbon ring pattern with satin shimmer in sunlight (shimmer is caused by fine hairs on the fungi surface), wrinkled edges, growing from dry leaf litter in sandy soil.
Habitat:
Found emerging from dry leaf litter in sandy soil in north east NSW. Found in Australia & some other countries.
Notes:
Looking at this fungi closely the colour/pattern resembled the growth rings of timber, very beautiful.
