Description:

Small, dark pink or red projections from leaves of some type of cherry. Described as pouch galls. Created by microscopic mites.

Habitat:

Cedar Creek County Park, New York.

Notes:

I am not 100% sure on the ID at this time. Please let me know if you find a better match.
