Description:

Apparently, native to the southwestern United States from California to Utah to Texas, where it occurs in desert and plateau scrub and woodland habitat. This was found in Florida where it is commonly seeded on road sides with an array of other wildflowers

Habitat:

Dry, sandy or rocky, pine lands, and in this case- road side.
