Description:

The Bald Eagle was reintroduced into VT and is doing well in those areas with high mountains and lakes. This one was injured and is in rehabilitation at VINS. Wide-spread 6-7 1/2 feet. Our national bird. White pattern on underwing. This is an adult distinguished by the white head and tail. Yellow beak and legs. L 31" WS 80"/

Habitat:

Found along lakes, rivers and coasts where prey is abundant.
