Description:

Large raptor nest. Both parents were there when we spotted it. It is positioned in such a way that you can only see it when traveling one direction on the highway. It's a first year nest. They must have recently hatched babies as both parents took off hunting despite crows and ravens in the area

Habitat:

between the river and the highway

Notes:

osprey in S coastal Oregon almost exclusively use power poles for nest platforms
