Field Notes

Description:

These Bluebirds seem to be somewhat territorial with each other. The pairs of younger males can be seen flying together, but once they mature, they don't fly together anymore. I've only seen a male and a female flying one at a time, in and out of their nest, presumably feeding young. This is a winter pic, so he's fattening himself up for the cold.
