Description:
Stocky and broad, it's commonly seen perchased on trees, poles or fence posts along roads or fields. Its plumage varies from light to very dark, but all eastern adults have a distinctive rusty-red tail. Injured and in rehab at VINS.
Habitat:
Often hunts from the same perch day after day catching small mammals with its feet. L 19" WS 49"
