Description:

Bird Nest Fungi (Cyathus striatus) have fruiting bodies that resemble tiny egg filled bird’s nests.

Habitat:

They feed on decomposing organic matter and grow on decaying wood or in soil enriched with bark mulch. They like damp, moist areas.

Notes:

Found in my backyard.
