Field Notes

Description:

The Twin-Spot Skipper's unique pattern quickly distinguishes it from all other skippers in the state. It occasionally shows up in home gardens. Adults have a quick, darting flight but regularly alight on low vegetation. Little detailed information is known about the biology and behavior of this locally common butterfly. Named for the lower white "twinned" spots on the hindwing. The Two-spotted Skipper has a confusingly similar name, but does not resemble the Twin-spot in appearance (other than being a little brown skipper!).

Habitat:

Black Point Wetlands

you don't happen to have any shots of the dorsal wing? the outside of the wing i mean. that might help narrow the species.
