Field Notes

Description:

Most distinctive feature are the wire-like extensions...the young do not have it. The adult keeps flying as it feeds the chicks; insects I thought.

Notes:

It NEVER almost NEVER sits! I was able to photograph its nest too...stuck on a wall quite high up in an abandoned shed. seemed to have been made of mud mixed with a liquid to make it pliable (I understand it uses saliva)
