Description:

A plant with tiny purple flowers that often grows in woodlands and suburban yards. It is generally considered a weed.

Habitat:

These ones are at the base of a shrub in a nature preserve.

Notes:

They are native to Eurasia but were brought to North America by European settlers. It has since naturalized quite nicely.
