Description:

It is relatively small Nymphalid butterfly of Asia. It is usually found mud puddling in wet patches around streams. When disturbed, it hides itself on the underside of a leaf.

Habitat:

Wet regions of South East Asia.

Notes:

The first picture shows it excreting excess water taken in in the process of mud puddling.
