Field Notes

Description:

The spider bit the dragonfly and held on to it as it fluttered and flew around a bit. Then it collapsed. The spider attacked the tail end and an opportunistic ant started gnawing on the head which it severed.

Habitat:

Urban scenario. In my garden.

Notes:

It was interesting to see two species eating from a common prey. I must thank LennyWorthington for identifying the dragonfly for me.
