Description:

Largest of the Canadian geese with black neck, head and tail markings and gray to brown upper body. The head has white cheeks.Very common birdmin many locations.

Habitat:

Ponds, lakes, rivers and reservoir This bird has also become an urban resident in many parts of the country.

Notes:

In some settings where people and Canadian Geese mingle these birds are sometimes relatively tolerant of people and will allow close approach.
