Field Notes

Description:

Noctua pronuba (Large Yellow Underwing) has the wings under the same as orange/yellow wings of this moth that appear to be on the upper part. It also has the ending on the upper wings the same as the corner of the wing under the yellow one on the photo 2, and it about the same size. However it was injured, I tried to take it in my hand but it left a dark orange liquid on my hand :( so didn't want to disturb it anymore. Here is Noctua pronuba spotted some time ago http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/23073050
