Description:

Motley brown. About 3ft long tapering flatter as the body goes from head to tail.

Habitat:

Rock pools at Kalbarri

Notes:

This fellow may not have been too well or he has been washed ashore. We attempted to get him back to the water.

I made this suggestion based on the similarity of the color pattern between your image and the image in my suggestion. Compare the two in the middle body sections of each snake. And of course, I checked to make sure the suggested species occurs in Western Australia :-)
