Field Notes

Description:

Approximately 4" in length. Has a pink 'collar' A very convincing twig like body. Carrying a baby/mating pair???

Habitat:

Spotted on the interior wall.

Notes:

Spotted this stick insect with baby piggybacking OR a mating pair??? on the interior wall this morning, managed to catch it and move it outside where it promptly attached itself to the wall directly below a Myna birds nest. Spotted by the Mynas that are feeding young, I then had to chase the Mynas off with a long pole until the stick insect had re-located into a palm tree.
