Aggregate anemonies

Aggregate anemones are called thus because they usually live in an aggregation or group of many individuals. These individuals are all clones. Though the anemone can reproduce sexually, it can also reproduce asexually by fission. Here the body divides into two genetically identical anemones. Members of an aggregation are usually touching each other, but non-clones do not get along. If a genetically different anemone comes along, the anemones will fight.
