Field Notes

Description:

Having won a hotly contested battle with a pair of bluebirds over this piece of prime real estate, this threesome now spend most of their time guarding their prize. The female is peeking out of the entrance hole & I am guessing the third bird is possibly one of their previous brood.

Habitat:

Semi rural bluebird trail
