I believe this is skunk cabbage. It's all up here as well. It's so pretty!
Gordon's right, and this is just about the perfect time of year to see skunk cabbage popping up in the marshes.
Could this be skunk cabbage (Symplocarpus foetidus)? Skunk cabbage has large, fleshy, bright green leaves, grows in moist soils often in forests. Take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symplocarpus_foetidus. I'll be curious as to what you decide.
