Description:

This shrub grows on the sides of roads or in recently open forest gaps. It has tiny "hairs" on the leaves and stem which injects some poisson when is touched, causing hughe pain and big browses; thats why only very specialized herbivores can feed on it. If you come to Yucatán be ware and dont touch it.

Habitat:

Tropical dry deciduous dwarf forest, tropical wet forests and croplands, it is almost exclusive to open gaps and road sides.
