Field Notes

Description:

These turtles might have been native to the area, or the park, but they had a little people viewing dock area (probably to keep the kids from picking them up and running them all over the place) in the park. There was a small stream that led to a lake that was partially enclosed, paddle boat area and the like. So these may have been confined or native. I'm not sure.

Notes:

Captive or rescued animals housed at Robert Lee Honbarrier Bald Eagle Habitat, Nature Center, and Cheerwine Aquarium at Dan Nicholas Park, 6800 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
