Wildlife Spotting

Short bush like plant. Buds look like they might bloom soon. My mother passed away before her garden started regrowing, so she isn't here to tell me what she planted and what she has growing. I know she was into herbs, but I don't recognize a lot of the things that are popping up throughout the garden!
