Field Notes

Description:

Has a long horizontal orange root. When we found it, the leaves were pale green and the stems were white and pinkish.

Habitat:

We found it in the compost, where it seemed to thrive in the darkness.

Notes:

Our neighbour said it is a rhubarb, but it doesn't look like our (other) rhubarb, even after a few weeks out in the sun.
