Field Notes

Description:

A medium sized grouse with mottled brown and white feathers.

Habitat:

Mountain scrubland.

Notes:

Found this one on the Perseverance trail. I had just looked in an Alaskan field guide for the area earlier and noted that this grouse was one I had never seen. As luck would have it, it took me only 4 hours to find one.
