Field Notes

Description:

Juvenile in grey plumage. It will turn black in a few months.

Habitat:

Near bushes and grasses on shoreline of bay.

Notes:

This Starling was the only juvenile in a small flock of adult European Starlings. This juvenile's behavior mirrored the adult behavior. This was my first observation of a juvenile with the adult Starlings.
