Description:
Silkie chickens are true bantams. My Hazel is about 12" high at her head.
The feathers lack barbs, so they look furry instead of feathery. Gotta love the top knot and beard as well. They also have 5 toes instead of the normal 4, and they have black skin and flesh. Very sweet temperaments too.
Habitat:
Backyard chicken coop.
