Field Notes

Description:

Tiny insect. Presumably a fly of some type. About the size of a Fruit or Vinegar fly. Orange body, distinctly patterned black and white wings. Green eyes.

Habitat:

Sears Bellows County Park, New York. Wooded campground. Resting on an outside wall of the bath house.

Notes:

Point-and-shoot decided the wall was better for focusing than the fly :( I had to post this even though the quality of image is poor. I still believe it is identifiable.
