Field Notes

Description:

Nymphalid of about 5cm wingspan. Velvety black upper wings with blue and white spots and lines. The females are predominantly grey/green with white spots and markings, mostly lacking the iridescent blue.

Habitat:

Found mud-puddling in tropical rainforest in northern Laos.
