Description:
A small, striped jumping spider, about 5 mm long. The pattern on this spider is variable. In this instance, the lighter spots on the proximal abdomen make an "X" shape, while the distal abdomen has a dark longitudinal stripe with dark and light transverse stripes on either side.
Habitat:
This critter was on a leaf at the edge of a fragment of mixed deciduous forest after a rainstorm.
