Description:
The cutest thing you'll see today. These four babies were only 8 hours old, and a little larger than golf balls.
Habitat:
Grassy area next to a freshwater lake.
Notes:
These are a few closer photos of the baby killdeer that hatched this morning in the nest I've been watching for the last three weeks. Their mother can be seen in two of the photos for size comparison.
