Description:

The Fragile Forktail damselfly is black and light green. The top of its thorax is black with two distinctive light green exclamation points. Editor's Note: I spotted several damselflies at Huntley Meadows Park on 21 April 2014, the first "home grown" odonates I've seen this year.

Habitat:

Huntley Meadows Park, a 1,425 acre wetland area in Fairfax County, Virginia USA. Related Resource: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/huntley/
