Description:

The footprint of the hind foot of an Eastern Grey Kangaroo adult (macropod, marsupial) as it hopped through the forest leaving an imprint in the moist earth. Approx. 150mm in length, the two toenails are clearly visible and looking closely you can also see the skin imprints of the pads. Kangaroos have soft pads and non-retractable toenails

Habitat:

Eastern Greys are found in the east of Australia mostly to the east of the Great Dividing Range in varied habitats, although they prefer areas where grass is plentiful. These ones in dry Eucalypt woodland adjoining farmland near man-made dam.
