Field Notes

Description:

It was sitting very far away; I maxed out the zoom. But at least it is clear that the head is dark and the white breast has dot-like marks. A raptor for sure.

Habitat:

It was sitting on an Eucalyptus tree in a place called Shantiniketan in West Bengal..

Notes:

I am not very confident about the ID because I spotted an Oriental Honey Buzzard in Delhi and another one in Ghaziabad, near Delhi, India and those looked very different. Those had a more "pigeon-like "appaearance. However, my avian specialist friends affirm this is a female Honey Buzzard.
