Description:

This juvenile has a white and brown abdomen with black spots. The pedipalps are bulbous making this a male.

Habitat:

White Sage in Coast Sage Scrub during a wildlife transect survey at Blue Sky Ecological Reserve.

Thanks Cindy. In my region there are plenty of black widows and I didn't know this.
Hi Luis, yes the abdomen will turn black and there will be a red hourglass shape on the underside.
Does ii turn black and red when adult Cindy?
