Field Notes

Description:

Small, yellow head, very noticeable black around throat and spreading down along sides of breast.. Wings grayish. Song: 3 evenly spaced notes on one pitch, followed by two longer notes, the first of which being on a lower pitch and the last returning to the original pitch. A little buzzy sounding.

Habitat:

Coniferous forest (Hemlock).

Notes:

I apologize for the terrible picture: the bird was moving around so much, this was the best shot I got. It's tough, but you can see the main identifiers.
