Description:
My best guess is that this tall annual belong to Knapweed genus Centaurea, therefore a member of Asteraceae family. Flowering stems are about 1m tall, and bear terminal purple flowers typical for the genus.
Habitat:
Found in buffer zone between the row of houses and vegetable fields, in a coastal village on Adriatic sea.
