Field Notes

Description:

Light green bush cricket, some pale pink, brown, yellow & blue markings, eyes reflected a pale blue not visible in this photo, long antennae, no wings in this specimen as it is an immature, some species are predatory while others rely on plant matter for food source, many species imitate a leaf to avoid detection, specific species not known yet so suggestions would be very welcome. Quite large approx 40mm body length.

Habitat:

Found throughout most of the world with the exception of Antarctica, this one found on paperbark tree leaves.
