Description:

This is the first of 3 new-for-me Sphinx moths that I found last night. This one is dark with a pattern that looks like a 3-D wrinkle on the lower part of the upper wings. The under wings are black and orange. It was about 4 cm long. Family Sphingidae.

Habitat:

Came to the parking lights of a shopping mall on the outskirts of San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
