Field Notes

Habitat:

These Scrub Hoppers were spotted in and around the rice field behind our house.

Notes:

Hesperiidae; Hesperiinae; Aeromachus plumbeola C.& R.Felder, 1867. This Scrub Hopper is rarely seen (in our immediate area) during the dry season. It starts to make an appearance when the rains arrive and, by the time that the rice crop is growing, this little butterfly seems to be everywhere, in great numbers.
