Field Notes

Description:

Some rock greenshield lichen found in a forest hike near Cocoa Beach, Florida. I can't find much on this species. It shares much with the related Flavoparmelia caperata commonly found on trees, which can also be found on rocks. It is distinguishable due to F. baltimorensis lack of true soredia.

Habitat:

Native to North America.
