Field Notes

Description:

Comfortable around humans, these gulls can be found by garbage cans and mall parking lots. A black ring circles the yellow bill, thus distinguishing them from other gulls. They eat most anything from garbage to small rodents. The Ring Billed Gull takes about three years to reach full maturity.

Habitat:

Mostly found toward fresh water and on the interior of lands, although can be found along the coasts as well.
