Field Notes

Habitat:

growing on rock next to artificial water feature in wooded area of park.

Notes:

Not positive of the genus I posted under scientific name, but it is a Liverwort of the thallose group (Order: Marchantiales). Found growing among ferns and mosses. Looks close to Marchantia polymorpha pics seen on line, but I didn't see any of the "umbrella" reproductive structures.
