Field Notes

Description:

A brown Sphinx moth with a dark band across the center of all 4 wings. The band lines up even with the wings opened. This one was also small at about 4 cm. The underwings were similar in color to the upper wings.

Habitat:

Came to the parking lights of a shopping mall on the outskirts of San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
