Field Notes

Description:

Looks like a garden plant. Tiny white fruits.

Habitat:

Neora Valley Jungle Camp. Three hours drive from the nearest town Siliguri, West Bengal, India. The place is forested, on the Himalayan foothills and pretty remote. All sorts of flowers including Gladiolus, Dahlia etc (pampered winter annuals back home) grow year around and wild here. So no knowing what has sprung up and what is due to a gardener's efforts.

Notes:

Looks like miniature Syzygium samarangense or Jamrul in Bangla!
