Description:

Part of the Geometridae family the silver ground carpet has a wingspan of between 29-33mm and flies (in the British Isles) between May and July, usually at dusk.

Habitat:

found in the shaded woodland section of Low common meadows, owned by the Yorkshire wildlife trust.
