Habitat:

Mixed dry sclerophyll and native grasses.

Klug's Xenica

Geitoneura klugii

Please consider this may be Klug's Xenica, a slightly smaller but still common 'brown' butterfly. The chevrons on the hind wing are not found in Heteronympha. H. merope will have no pigmentation along the fw discal cell vein. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/73406147
It looks very similar to my http://www.networkedorganisms.com/spotting/3426002
Common Brown butterfly. This species is very sexually dimorphic.
