Field Notes

Habitat:

Breed in the tundra of High Arctic Canadian islands and peninsulas, and rarely in Alaska. Spend the winter on sandy beaches all over the world; some stop as far north as southern Alaska, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland while others go the length of South America.

Notes:

A few seen running up and down this beach. This group was resting near other birds.
